Lyrics by Soller-Mihlek Wake up! Have we forgotten what the show was for? Listen! before you shut me out with your VIP door! It used to be that nosebleeds came from sharp elbows Now we're stuck in nosebleed seats suffering from vertigo We used to walk up to the band to shake their hands Now you can't get any where near them without a pass Music over matter! Music over matter! The records sweat of pile-ons and the feedback screams the discord Yet those who feel and long to see it can't even afford the ticket If all we could get is one wish, it's art that spits out the anguish Trend after trend, like after like, wealth's taken our truth and put it court side Wake up! Have we forgotten what the show was for? Listen, listen, listen before you shut me out with your VIP door! MUSIC OVER MATTER! MUSIC OVER MATTER!

SpazzMazz 02:25
Lyrics by Kat Wong We don't have to fade into day Better late than never to your own masquerade How fortunate to live day by day You don't have to, they don't have to We don't have to fade You don't have to, they don't have to To fade into day

Catcall 03:15
Lyrics by Soller-Mihlek I'm not flattered You can't touch me I don't wanna know You just wanna, you just wanna Just shut up now Mind your p's and q's Keep your hands off me and my high-heeled shoes I am not your treble, "baby," you are not my bass! Why can't I walk down the street free of suggestion?? I'm not flattered! I am not your treble, baby, you are not my bass Lurking on the corner every morning I won't be quiet, I won't be nice! You can take this as your warning And don't make me tell you twice! Cool story, bro. I'm not flattered, you can't touch me I don't wanna know, you just wanna, you just wanna! Just shut up now, mind you p's and q's Keep your hands off me and my high-heeled shoes! I am not your treble, baby, you are not my bass I am not your treble, baby, you are not, you are not, not my bass!

Whiskeytown 02:49
Lyrics by Soller-Mihlek Ever feel that when it rains, it pours Especially when you're living in a place like New York Did you take the wrong turn, did you (make) the wrong choice? Ever feel stuck in a rut or just bored? 'Cause when the world is bringing you down You wish your luck would turn around Lost in the dark, falling apart Don't take it all to heart Face your fears, take it all in stride Rest your mind, see a different light Take the bad as a another ride Stop the fight, it'll be alright I know you know what I"m talking about in this cold hard city Looking down and out Pick yourself up off the ground and listen to this sound
6.
Idle Hands 02:54
Lyrics by Kat Wong Let's get it started, no time to repent Idle hands, sycophant, Idle hands, I'm sick of it, I'm sick of it How do we sacrifice rage, it just isn't right Painted by normality, what a pretty sight Added rhythm onto fears, we share the cause Abundance clear Sugar-coated holes to dispense I idealize, nothing but lament Let's get it started, no time to repent Idle hands, sycophant Idle hands, I'm sick of it, I'm sick of it Torment ridden with age soon to be a welcomed stain Solace at last, dissonance it sure to blame Added rhythm onto fears, we share the cause Sugar-coated holes to dispense I idealize, nothing but lament Let's get it started, no time to repent Idle hands, sycophant Idle hands, I'm sick of it, I'm sick of it Sugar-coated, I dispense To idealize, I am spent We got it started, no time to lament Idle hands, sycophant Idle hands, sycophant, I'm sick of it, I'm sick of it

My beer is warm and your cocktail's watered down 102 in this hell of a town The sweat drips drips drips and turns to steam My touch burns you and your skin burns me We need some artificial air Turn it up and let it blast Let's pretend that the summer's passed This apple is baked How much more can we take? If it were the first of the year I would love your charms and lie in your arms We need some artificial air Turn it up and let it blast Let's pretend that the summer's passed

WWKD? 02:58
Lyrics by Soller-Mihlek Remember the boys when they told us "no" We found our own noise, put on our own show I am sick of that pose, I'm tired of this scene With your edgy haircuts, you're all looking real mean Now you've got your tattoos, you've got the look And you're dressing the part, but you're not off the hook **** your little bitty cliques, talking about art, looking real hip Yeah, you know what it's all about Sing those words and scream and shout! If this music is your real obsession, let's see your 7" collection The riot's in the sound, the riot's on the floor I think that you've forgotten what the riot's for Think about the feelings, think about the rage Not how it's going to look on your facebook page! There are some things that you just can't get Making all your friends on the internet Riot grrrl? Be quiet, girl.

Sly Eye 02:32
Lyrics by Kat Wong: Settle familiar habits Disown the new now Feature warnings of comfort We know no healthy way Intrude! Intrude! Entrust loyalty over perfection! Sly eye! Find another Sly eye! Dispersed undercover Sly lie! Become undone, become undone Intrude! Intrude! The clutch revives but oh Seconds turn into months Teetering of suspicion to know No one is here They say, "oh, so well" Intrude! Intrude! Sly eye! Forfeit the other Sly eye! Submit then recover Leisure will solve, leisure will solve, yeah yeah
10.
Comrade 03:09
Lyrics by Soller-Mihlek The image is worth more than your common sense You're so much more interesting when you're on the defense It's easy to point a finger and to state the obvious Too hard to admit that you're the same as all of us How many -isms do we have to list? Do we have to tiptoe for our words to exist? Playing the little victim can be a lot of fun But what good are your workshops when there's work to be done? No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. The consequence of arrogance is violence, not submission. You know you're well-respected, you're a presence in the scene Go patch your denim vest until it rips at the seams! The thirst for drama, it never ends And now it's got you picking fights with your own friends. Take a good look at your own reflection Before you go talking about insurrection So blinded from your anger that you're straying from the mission And there isn't any time for acts of contrition. No one can make you feel inferior without your permission. The consequence of arrogance is violence, not submission.

about

TinVulva Brooklyn, New York

From the depths of the Gowanus canal, TinVulva (aka TV) is an alternative punk-inspired band with riot grrrl soul and rhythmic grunge undertones.

What does TinVulva mean? Feminist? Queer? POC? Riot grrrl?
We're just misfits that like to rip it, and besides, where else would our voices be heard? Certainly not in the mainstream. MUSIC over matter!

See you on the floor!!!
